I have a few photoshoots coming up soon this month (one had to be rescheduled due to emergency) so I’ll be updating this blog a little more often with some actual content! *laugh* I’ve been testing the new 100mm macro here and there and it’s becoming apparent that I’ll have to upgrade the 50mm eventually but it’s not absolutely vital at the moment. I’d like to get a wide angle lens first before I do that.
I just purchased my first professional tripod by Manfrotto Bogen and it’s a wonderfully solid unit with a quick release plate if I need to get the camera off the tripod quickly. I still want a monopod later on for even easier movement but for an all-around piece of equipment, the 190XB is a heavier but extremely well-made tripod and the test shots taken with it makes me cry for joy because I have the terrible affliction of shaky hands.
